We are thrilled to announce that Linda Cleary and Kelsie Dalton have been awarded a generous grant to support our school-wide initiative, the Crossfield Green Team. This grant will enable us to grow, and prepare fruits and vegetables grown by our students.

Thanks to this award, we now have:

• Five 4x4 raised planting beds
• Soil, gardening tools, and supplies
• Books and lesson plans
• A Vitamix blender
• A mobile cooking cart and recipe guides to explore nutrition and the science of cooking.

Additionally, we are excited to welcome volunteers from Warner Brothers Discovery, who will be helping with the installation. They will set up the planting beds, fill them with soil, construct the cooking cart, and install an irrigation system and composter.

This initiative is made possible by a generous grant from The Captain Planet Foundation. The materials provided by the grant will be installed this Friday in the green space in front of the cafeteria.
